You bought ten SOPs because something has been falling through the cracks. The contents of the cracks are usually one of these ten things.
When you ran one engagement at a time, you remembered everything. Two clients in, the kickoff email goes out late, the invoice nudge gets forgotten, the scope-creep conversation gets postponed by a week, the case study never gets written. None of these are skill problems. They're trigger problems — the cue that should make the procedure run got missed.
This is the system that keeps them out.
Each SOP is one markdown file: when to use it, why it exists, the numbered procedure, the Claude prompt for the AI-tractable parts, and the pitfalls. They're written for one persona — solo consultants and small-agency owners (1–5 people) running 1–3 active engagements at a time — which is why the language matches the work instead of being generic enough to ship to anyone.
The ten SOPs
- Client kickoff — first hour after a deal closes. The four artifacts that signal competence on day one.
- Weekly client update — a 5-section Friday update. Highest-leverage low-effort thing in any engagement.
- Invoice + late-payment nudge — a 3-touch nudge cadence at day 1, 7, 14. The day-14 pause-work nudge is the lever.
- Project retrospective — engagement-end debrief. The one-line lesson that makes the next engagement sharper.
- Case-study harvest — one wrap → one case study + 3 social pieces in 30 minutes.
- Scope-creep conversation — four common patterns, four ready scripts. The conversations you've been avoiding.
- Discovery prep + debrief — pre-brief, debrief, follow-up — the three artifacts around any meaningful call.
- Proposal workflow — the condensed version. The full eight-prompt system is the Proposal-Closer Prompt Pack.
- Client offboarding + referral ask — clean exit + the referral request most consultants skip.
- Monthly pipeline review — 30-minute monthly audit you can actually keep up with.
What makes these different from a free template
Most SOP templates online are commodity — Asana, Miro, Smartsheet, Scribe all give them away. They're written for businesses generally, which means they're generic enough to use anywhere and specific enough to help nowhere.
These are written for one persona. Specific enough that the language matches consulting work. With a paired Claude prompt in every SOP for the AI-tractable steps, because in a real consulting practice those steps are the ones eating the most time.
How to use it
- Print the cheatsheet. Stick it next to your monitor. It tells you when to run each SOP — the trigger that should fire each one. Most operational drift comes from missing the trigger, not from doing the procedure badly.
- Pick the SOP for the next thing on your calendar. Don't try to install all ten at once. Run the relevant one on the next real situation that matches.
-
Copy the file (or the Notion version) into your client folder. Each SOP is self-contained — when you adopt it for a specific engagement, copy it into
clients/<name>/and customize. - Run the Claude prompt. Every SOP has a paired Claude prompt for the AI-tractable parts. Skip it if you're in a hurry. Use it if you want the time savings.
Format & delivery

Pairs with
- The Solo Consultant's AI Playbook — the Playbook is the operating model (eight chapters, the framing). This bundle is the operational artifacts that go in your client folders. Four SOPs cross-reference Playbook chapters; the format is genuinely different.
- The Proposal-Closer Prompt Pack — SOP #8 in this bundle is the condensed proposal workflow. The Pack is the deeper eight-prompt system. If proposals are your highest-frequency bottleneck, the Pack is the more direct fix.
- The Solo Operator's Mega Bundle — all four products in one zip, $147. If you'd buy two of the four anyway, the Mega Bundle is the cleaner choice.
Who this is for
Solo consultants, fractional operators, and small-agency owners (1–5 people) who already have at least 5–10 engagements behind them and have started noticing operational drift — the same things forgotten across engagements, the same conversations postponed, the same wraps that never get harvested into case studies.
Who this isn't for
- First-time consultants. You don't have the scar tissue yet to map these triggers onto. Bookmark for later.
- Anyone running zero active engagements. SOPs without engagements are filing cabinets without files.
- Anyone who reads procedures and doesn't run them. The whole premise is that the trigger fires, the procedure runs. If you won't run them, this download costs more than it returns.
FAQ
How is this different from the SOP templates Asana / Miro / Scribe give away free?
The free templates are written for businesses generally — every industry, any size. They're generic by necessity. These are written for one persona (solo consultants and small-agency owners running 1–3 engagements) which means the language matches the work and every SOP includes a paired Claude prompt for the AI-tractable steps.
How does this overlap with the AI Playbook?
Four of the ten SOPs cross-reference Playbook chapters (project retrospective, case-study harvest, discovery prep+debrief, proposal workflow). The format is genuinely different — the Playbook gives you the framing on why these workflows matter; the SOPs are the operational documents you copy into client folders. If you bought the Playbook and run real engagements, the SOPs are the running procedures the Playbook implies. The Mega Bundle has both at $147.
Do I need Claude to use this?
No. Every SOP runs without the Claude prompt. The prompts are paired with the AI-tractable steps to save time, but the procedures stand alone. Every prompt also works in ChatGPT.
Is this a course?
No. It's ten markdown files and a one-page cheatsheet. No videos, no community, no live anything.
Will the Notion version work in my Notion workspace?
Yes. The notion/ folder contains the same 10 SOPs as standard markdown. In Notion, right-click in your sidebar → Import → Markdown & CSV → drag the folder in. Notion creates one page per SOP.
Refund policy?
